The greatest legacies aren't what we leave behind - they're the lives that continue because we were here.
On Thursday, we had the privilege of celebrating the establishment of the Leigh Corley Excellence in Education Scholarship, created by Jerry Corley in memory of his wife, Leigh.
Mr. Corley shared these words about Leigh:
"Leigh believed that teaching is more than a profession—it is a calling. It is my hope that each recipient of this scholarship will carry forward her legacy of compassion, excellence, and service, inspiring future generations of students just as she did."
Through this scholarship, Leigh's passion for education and the lives she touched will continue to inspire future educators at Gulf Coast State College.
