Scholarship Listing

The Foundation has a comprehensive scholarship opportunity listing that is available to view anytime. This listing displays the name of the scholarship opportunity, the application deadline and description. Each scholarship may have its own eligibility requirements, but there is only on common application to complete.


Donor Requested Applications or Other Information – External

The Foundation does have donors and donor organizations who have their own application and selection process. Noted below is a list of scholarships that require external applications to be submitted by individuals who would like to be considered.

Applicants are not required to have a Foundation scholarship application on file to be considered.


CLOSED Optimist Club of the Beaches – Selection will be made the Optimist Club of the Beaches scholarship selection committee. Qualified applicants must complete the OCOTB application to be considered. The Foundation’s Board of Directors determines the award amount each year. Gulf Coast State College recipients will be asked to complete the Foundation’s general scholarship application. To apply for the scholarship, please click here – APPLICATION CLOSED


Judith Buhat Hamner Endowed Scholarship – Sponsored by a memorial gift from the friends and family of Mrs. Buhat Hamner. Qualified applicants must first complete a separate application to be considered. Preference will be given to a student of Filipino descent; who has a GPA of 2.0 or higher and is attending Gulf Coast State College or Florida State University-Panama City. The Foundation’s Board of Directions will determine the award amount each year. To apply for the scholarship, please click here- APPLICATION


Emerald Coast First Responders Association Scholarship – Selection will be made by the Emerald Coast First Responders Association. Qualified applicants must complete the Donor’s application to be considered. Preference will be given to students attending Gulf Coast State College who will be participants in a first responder program and to students attending Gulf Coast who currently are employed as a first responder who will be participating in academic classes. The Foundation’s Board of Directors will determine the award amount each year. Gulf Coast State College recipients will be asked to complete the Foundation’s general scholarship application. Stephen Goodson Memorial Scholarship Award – Selection will be made by a Donor Representative. Qualified applicants must complete the Foundation’s scholarship application and answer an essay question. Applicants must have obtained 50 or more community service hours and submit an essay (500 words or less) on the following topic: Describe what it means to serve others/their community along with an example of how the applicant has served others/their community. CLOSED Krewe of St. Andrews Scholarship – The Krewe of St. Andrews is seeking qualified individuals who are in need of financial assistance to pursue post-secondary education in the Bay County area. Applicants must be Bay County residents who are over the age of twenty-three (23) and interested in attending Gulf Coast State College. Applications and information regarding the scholarship requirements can be obtained on the KOSA website. The deadline to submit an application is Sunday, October 15, 2023.
